Texprocess 2011

GF Garmenttec is located in Rodgau near of Frankfurt am Main. On the occasion of the international fair texprocess in Frankfurt GF Garmenttec was granted the Innovation Award.

GF Garmenttec has developed a new pressing buck made of a fiber composite material with embedded metallic components. The pressing buck weighs less than half of the common bucks made of aluminum and needs less energy for heating-up. 

The jury awarded the new material due to its improved features for the pressing technology such as low weight and therefore enhanced energy efficiency. The invention provides an important new approach concerning sustainability and shows that there is still a wide range of application for technical textiles to be discovered within the textile sector.
The price was handed over by Mr. Josef Klein, Hugo Boss AG to the managing partner Günter Friedrich on the occasion of the opening of the fair Texprocess.
